The Cabins at Bear River Lodge in Utah (My Bday Surprise)!
Surprise getaway
Hey mamas, my sweet husband surprised me on my birthday with a weekend stay at The Cabins at Bear River Lodge! He was able to get our family hosted here for 3 days and 2 nights!
We drove out Friday afternoon and, of course, there was a snow storm. My husband drove as carefully as he could and I worked hard at picking his favorite songs on Spotify (I am a noble character, I know) haha!
But in all seriousness, the storm was scary. We were the only ones on the road, which made it a bit more scary because we would not have somewhere to go if an accident occurred. Oh, and we didn’t have cell service! Besides those paralyzing fears, it was a beautiful and overwhelming drive.
Take a look for yourself
We made it !
Ya’ll we made it!! Maybe it was my husband’s careful driving or my 395686 prayers. But nonetheless, we made it to the most magical “Narnia” place I’ve ever visited.
Where we stayed
We stayed in a 7 bedroom cabin (cabin #14). We had 4,000 square feet all to ourselves. It is a 3 level cabin and sleeps 22 people. This cabin is so perfect for large gatherings like family reunions, corporate retreats, etc!
I only recorded all the bedrooms so I will have it highlighted on my IG here !
We enjoyed the kitchen and living room the most! There are “woodsy” details in every room, which is such a nice touch. Also, every bedroom has a bathroom!! Like WHAT! For more information please click the link below!
My Birthday Surprise
My husband and daughters told me that I had to sit in the back while they do “something” in the living room. They closed all the curtains so I couldn’t peek (they know me so well), husband brought me an elderberry tea and my favorite subscription, Wild + Free, winter bundle.
Oh my goodness, the backyard view was my favorite. I sat there drinking my tea and reading Wild + Free. I felt so grateful for my life and this beautiful world.
Eric, my husband, bought me the Wild + Free subscription last year for my birthday. It is $19 a month and soooo worth it! You get monthly physical bundle and have access to their website and all of the Wild + Free conferences!

20 minutes later and they tell me to go inside...
They set up the living room with birthday balloons, happy birthday banner and streamers. It was so sweet! They sang “happy birthday” and we ate brownies with vanilla ice cream. Cheers to 35! It was the best ever!
Oh, and he bought 2 disco balls!
Let’s go to the woods
We got to ride thee coolest snow tracked UTV for the weekend! We got a Heated 6 Seater Side by Side UTV. It was our first time ever driving and riding on one. THIS IS A MUST when you visit!

We got to explore all over Uinta-Wasatch Cache National Forest. We created pathways for our sleds (that were also rented from Trax Power Sports Rentals), stayed warm by drinking our homemade hot cocoa, and just enjoyed the stillness of a snowy wood.
After the woods we had early -freaking delicious- dinner at The Den (the restaurant on site), chilled at the cabin, and had leftover brownies with ice cream at night.
On our last morning Eric made us Mickey waffles (my favorite) and we played checkers until it was time to head out.
A huge shout out to The Bear River Lodge for showing us an AMAZING and MAGICAL time! We are so excited to visit again!
