Simple Disney Wish Birthday Party
Thalia has been obsessed with Wish ever since she first saw the movie trailer! We have never even seen the new Disney movie but she insisted on Wish being her birthday party theme.
Asha is a beautiful Afro-Hispanic girl (just like my daughter) so I was more than happy to throw her a Wish birthday party!
Thalia met Asha in Epcot this year!…
Box Cake Mix
I usually bake the yummiest lemon raspberry vegan cake for our birthdays that everyone loves but this year Thalia asked for a Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting…From a Simple Mills cake mix box!
Yup, my sweet girl wanted cake from a box and you know what…I delivered! I also found an allergy friendly pre-made frosting at Good Earth ( it was $9.99 YIKES) Good thing it was delicious! Thalia wanted to frost her own cake, so she frosted. She is such a helpful little girl.
Ready to party
We decided to invite our close friend (Auntie Maisie) and her 3 children over for breakfast burritos, donuts, jello, and cake. They watched Wish (thank you Maisie), played pin the “star",” and played all day together.
I will share links to everything at the end.
Two Dollar Bills?
Thalia’s great grandparents sent her $7 for her birthday. Ggpa and Ggma are the sweetest and they send money to all of their grandchildren and great grandchildren every year! Thalia freaked out (and so did I) when she saw two, 2 dollar bills! It was her first time seeing a two dollar bill. We will definitely not be spending those four dollars.
After the party…
We asked how she wanted to spend the rest of her birthday…She said,
“Park, ice cream & Costco hot dog dinner!”
And we did just that.
Brookers is a cute little revolutionary era ice cream shop that sells vegan ice cream! Thalia loves it so much.
We ended the night…
with Happy Birthday to You book, some snuggles and kisses. I had such an amazing day with my little family.
Time is fleeting and I am trying to hold on to all their childhood memories and my motherhood memories in my heart.
