Sophie Mouse Birthday Tea Party
I CANNOT believe I have an EIGHT year old daughter!
“The days are long but the years are short."
This quote has been sitting still in my heart for a while now. Mom guilt has been clouding my mind (and heart). Have I showed her how much I love her everyday? Have I given her the childhood she deserves? Have I done enough?
Maybe these thoughts belong in another blog post…
Anyways, I decided to throw my sweet girl a surprise birthday tea party!
Sophie Mouse Birthday Tea Party Details
My daughter has been OBSESSED with The Adventures of Sophie Mouse for the past two years! I decided to throw her a surprise Sophie Mouse birthday tea party! I bought a few items but most of what I used are staple items in our household (like our plates and tea sets). Links are provided at the end of the blog.
The Birthday Girl and Her tea party
Everything was fairly simple. I made ham and cheese sandwiches. I used a Mickey Mouse cookie cutter. We ate Lemonade Girl scouts cookies, Trader Joe’s cinnamon rolls, Yum Earth Giggles, and daddy made her a dairy free ice cream cake! It was so delicious!
Although, Thalia has many friends that she truly loves and they love her, I decided to keep it small and invited her closest homeschool neighborhood girl-friends! They were all so excited to wear their mouse ears!
My daughter read the first two chapters of the first Sophie Mouse book because one of her friends did not know about them. Isn’t she so thoughtful. Gosh, I love her so much,
Mickey Mouse cookie cutter for the WIN!
Birthday Girl Brewed her own Tea
Thalia (my daughter) brewed the tea herself. Sophie Mouse LOVES flowers so we use dandelion root, red clover, and rose petals and sweetened it with raw local honey. The girls loved it so much, we had to make another pot of tea!
Sophie Mouse Loves to Paint and Loves Flowers! Time to craft!
In the books, Sophie loves to make her own paint by smushing flowers. She is so creative. Although we did not make our own paint, we did paint our favorite flowers.
We also mod podged dried pressed flowers onto a glass candle holder!
It was an honor serving my daughter and her sweet little friends. I will always remember this day and I hope she does too.

My mama heart has felt all the feels this week, but what a blessing it is to watch her grow into a young little lady.
Thank you for joining me mamas!
